South American Indoor

The first-ever indoor championships in Latin America were held in Bolivian city Cochabamba in 2020 just days before the global coronavirus pandemic. In that edition, 11 of 13 members of CONSUDATLE competed in the first Sudamericano Indoor, and all of contesting nations won medals.

Cochabamba retained its position of being permanent home of the event following editions due to having a sole indoor facility in the region.
